Our team had the great opportunity to work with FASID's representatives, Fujita-san as senior expert and Eriko, technical staff, in Savannakhet Province, September 2009. The team conducted the study on social and environment impact assessment of the Mekong 2nd Friendship Bridge, via numbers of interviews and researches. The company is therefore highly appreciated the offer by FASID and looks forward to forming up the team again!!!
Project on support to trade promotion is one of outstanding JICA's technical supports, which are implementing in Lao PDR. The project builds capacity for all technical officials working at the Department of Production and Trade Promotion under the supervision of Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Civilise Consulting Ltd has been providing services, especially interpretation, to assist the communication and conversation between the government officials and Asakura-san, Chief Advisor. The pictures are taken from the study-tour of 3 central provinces: Borikhamsay, Khammouane and Savannakhet. The team also visited 'That Inhung' festival, where also hosts the international exhibition. The team introduced the project prime objectives and team members along with sharing comments on the provincial issues and various priorities regarding trade promotion and market opportunities.
